New Harbor is a evangelical church located in Benicia. We exist to glorify God and reach people within the nearby communities of Benicia & Vallejo and beyond. We are a church who desires to love Jesus first, and love others the way Jesus loves us.
The Office Administrator supports the vision, mission, ministry and core values of New Harbor Community Church by implementing effective administrative operations in support of all church activities. This person serves the Lord and His church by being loving, flexible, and welcoming with a positive attitude and unwavering commitment to Jesus Christ. Attendance and service at New Harbor is desirable but not required.
This position is 30-35 hours per week. Hourly wage of $15-$19/hour depending on experience. Paid time off (PTO).
General office support including telephone, email and in-person visitor communication, mail, ordering supplies and filing.
Administrative support for Pastoral Staff, including attendance, membership assimilation, baptisms, newsletters, special mailing lists, etc.
Schedule and confirm all appointments for the Lead Pastor.
Clerical assistance for Lead Pastor projects as needed – typing, scanning, filing.
Working with systems such as Church Community Builder (CCB) and Planning Center Online to maintain central church calendar, updated contact info and track attendance for services and events.
Maintaining or delegating changes to Squarespace website content to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Supporting all Ministry Leaders with training and resources to ensure successful church events and projects.
Assisting with planning and coordinating annual retreats and events.
Meeting regularly with Pastoral Staff and others to collaborate.
Making sure content on the website is consistent and accurate and making or delegating the necessary changes.
Periodic mailings / emails to the church and friends of the church.
Receiving and providing prayer requests to the network Prayer Team.
Maintain ongoing communication and support of church plants supported by New Harbor.
Maintaining the monthly budget for all office supplies.
Transfer monthly giving into CCB, and generate annual giving statements.
Developing and submitting Annual Budget proposal to the Elders by each September 30.
Self-starter with initiative to multi-task and being a creative partner in serving the church.
Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint. Additional technical proficiency in social media, graphic design, website design, and audio or video podcasts are desirable or can be trained if interested.
Organized, detail oriented, and administratively focused.
