To live is Christ; to die is gain

Currently Meeting

Mondays | 7-9pm | Benicia

What does it look like to live as a mature Christian? While many give their lives to Jesus, few then go on to live a life of truly vibrant faith. Pastor Matt Chandler uses the book of Philippians to offer tangible ways to develop a faith of pursuing, chasing, knowing, and loving Jesus.

books of 1 & 2 Samuel

Currently Meeting

Mondays | 6-8pm | Vallejo

The Old Testament books of 1 & 2 Samuel have it all - power struggles, betrayal, warfare, and romance.  God uses three men to guide the nation through these difficult times in the next stage of His perfect plan.  Samuel the prophet; Saul, the first king; and David, a man after God’s own heart, are great examples of what we should and shouldn’t do as Christians today.  See how God is always sovereign, both in history and in the lives of individuals.  Ten thought-provoking lessons include historical insights, word origins, life applications, and discussion questions.

the promised land

Currently Meeting

Thursdays | 9-11am | NHCC Community Café

Our weekly meeting begins with fellowship, a light breakfast, and prayer. This 5 week session will include a short video, group discussion and reflection, followed by individual studies during the week for personal application.  Historian and teacher Ray Vander Laan shows us how God guided his people to a specific place - the Promised Land - to impact the world both in ancient times and today.  Filmed on location in Israel, these illuminating "faith lessons" afford a new understanding of the Bible that will ground your convictions and transform your life.

Jonah

Currently Meeting

Thursdays | 7-8:30pm | NHCC Student Room

At the end of the day, God is less concerned with what we do for Him than who we are in Him. Few figures illustrate that truth better than Jonah. God uses extraordinary circumstances to break our hearts of selfishness, convince us of His tender care, and unite our lives to His glory.
